Opinion: Can Trump act against type in a second term, or will he suffer the fate of Grover Cleveland?
Grover Cleveland was not so lucky. His second term included a severe economic crisis (the Panic of 1893), a devastating Pullman railway strike, an historic defeat for his party in the midterm election of 1894, and an icky operation for a tumor on the roof of his mouth carried out in secret on a boat in New York's East River (you can look it up).
