The Seattle Seahawks are now in sole possession of last place in the NFC West. After losing 26-20 in overtime to the Los Angeles Rams, and with the Arizona Cardinals defeating the Chicago Bears 29-9, the one-time division leaders are now in the basement of said division.

I feel like a broken record, but the Seattle Seahawks lost at home. Again. This time it was a 26-20 overtime punch to the groin against the NFC West division rival Los Angeles Rams. Seattle really had no business being in this game after Geno Smith’s 3 interceptions which included a Rams record 103-yard return for a TD by Kamren Kinchens.

The Seahawks and Rams are both in the mix of the incredibly tight NFC West race. The odds for this game are also very tight.

As I have said multiple times, life comes at you fast in the NFL. The Seattle Seahawks are currently experiencing this. Seattle started the season with a 3-0 record and in sole possession of the NFC West, giving them an early lead to claim their first division title since the 2020 season.

After NFL Week 9, that title belongs to the NFC West, where just one game separates all four teams. Several NFL division races could come down to the wire, but the NFC West is the only one where all four teams still appear to have a legitimate chance of winning.
