Furniture and appliance retailer American Freight is closing all stores nationwide as part of Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings by its parent company, Franchise Group Inc.

In a press release issued earlier this week, Franchise Group explained that American Freight had struggled in the "large durable goods sector."

American Freight is part of Delaware, Ohio-based Franchise Group Inc.’s holdings. The closure of the furniture and appliance chain is part of the company’s Chapter 11 bankrupt
