The model, announced at Adobe Max, will appear in the standalone Firefly web application. It rolls out alongside AI updates to Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and Lightroom.

Adobe Inc. unveiled artificial intelligence tools that can create and modify videos, joining Big Tech companies and startups in trying to capitalize on demand for the emerging technology.

Adobe on Monday said it was releasing a public test version of its Firefly Video Model and adding a feature to Premiere that allows movie makers to use generative AI to extend footage they have filmed.

Adobe is making the jump into generative AI video. The company’s Firefly Video Model, which has been teased since earlier this year, is launching today across a handful of new tools, including some right inside Premiere Pro that will allow creatives to extend footage and generate video from still images and text prompts.

The Firefly video model, integrated into Adobe Premiere Pro, offers users both text-to-video and image-to-video capabilities. The video model is also available on the Firefly webs
