Shawnee County treasurer and clerk will be up for vote in general election
Lisa Schmitt, Republican and Jonathan Smith, Democrat will face off in the Nov. 5 general election for the Shawnee County clerk position. The position, which is a four-year term has been held by incumbent Cyndi Beck for 27 years. Beck decided not to seek re-election this year, The Capital-Journal reported in May.
