The fourth line has been a Godsend for the Bruins this year. And in a promising development, that hard-working unit started to get some help from the big guns in their the 5-3 win over the Colorado Avalanche in Denver on Wednesday.

David Pastrnak and Hampus Lindholm scored 13 seconds apart in the second period to help the Boston Bruins beat Colorado 5-3 on Wednesday night, sending the Avalanche to their fourth straight loss. It’s the longest skid to start a season for the Avalanche since 1998-99.

FOURTH LINE NOT SLOWING DOWN — The Bruins’ fourth line of Mark Kastelic, Beecher and Koepke now has six of the team’s 19 goals this season including two of Wednesday’s four goals. Each of the three players has two goals and three assists through five games. Koepke and Beecher are at plus-9, already, while Kastelic is at plus-8.
