Simply, these composite rankings are the average of every Big Ten team’s FPI and SP+ slot after Week 9. For example, Iowa is currently No. 26 in FPI and No. 18 in SP+. That means the Hawkeyes’ composite ranking is No. 22. Those composite rankings are then ordered from highest to lowest.
