Aam Aadmi Party MLA Atishi will take oath as the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi on Saturday. New members of the Cabinet will also take oath with her.

Atishi will be sworn in as Delhi's new chief minister, retaining the previous four ministers and including first-time MLA Mukesh Ahlawat in her Cabinet. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at Raj Niwas,

Atishi, who was proposed as the CM-designate by Arvind Kejriwal, will take oath along with her council of ministers.

Four current Delhi ministers will continue to retain their posts in the government after the change of guard that is scheduled to take place this week.

When Atishi takes oath as Delhi Chief Minister on September 21, she will become only the third woman in history to achieve this milestone, following Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dikshit. Her rise is critical for AAP as they prepare for upcoming elections and fast-track pending policies.
