First Night: UConn women’s basketball facing start of season with news of latest injury blow
The UConn women’s basketball team may be without forward Ayanna Patterson to start the 2024-25 season after she suffered a shoulder injury in practice. Coach Geno Auriemma said ahead of the Huskies’ annual First Night event on Friday that Patterson “whacked” her shoulder and is still in a sling.
