Ottawa County's Interim Administrator Jon Anderson submitted his resignation again, marking another shift in the county’s administrative leadership.

OLIVE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Ottawa County is looking for a new administrator. Jon Anderson, who had been serving as interim county administrator since March after t he firing of former Administrator Jon Gibbs, resigned over the weekend without explanation.

Ben Wetmore was appointed in a 6 to 5 vote, though some commissioners expressed concerns about the power that Wetmore would have in the administrator role.

Emails shared with The Sentinel, indicate Wetmore wants to fill vacant department head positions: public defender and director of human resources.

Ottawa County hired its second interim county administrator on Wednesday night. The Board of Commissioners voted 6-5 to appoint Deputy County Administrator Ben Wetmore to the role.
