Hyundai Motor Group started production of the freshened 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 crossover at its new electric vehicle factory in Georgia. Hyundai Metaplant has started production ahead of schedule
The Hyundai Metaplant has begun initial production of costumer vehicles. WSAV contacted the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) on Friday where they confirmed in a statement that they had started production.

The EV assembly facility, known as the Metaplant, is the largest economic development project in Georgia history. Hyundai announced plans for factory in April 2022 and broke ground in October. What once was a more than $5 billion facility later grew to be a $7.6 billion campus.
