General Hospital fans have eagerly been awaiting the on-screen reunion of mother-son duo Laura ( Genie Francis) and Lucky ( Jonathan Jackson ). Soap Opera Digest reports that the Port Charles mayor and the ex-cop will now be sharing scenes pretty soon.

Francis and Jackson are scheduled to appear on the popular soap opera on Oct. 9, PEOPLE can confirm After almost a decade, the Spencer family will be together onscreen once again! Genie Francis will officially return to General Hospital next week on Oct.

After a summer break, Francis returned to the ABC soap opera set several weeks ago, and she should be back on screen on Wednesday, October 9, according to Soap Opera Digest. Even better, some of the first scenes Francis filmed upon her return involve Laura and Lucky, and viewers should see those scenes this week, too, the site reports.
