State police have arrested a Waterbury man who is accused of driving the wrong way on Interstate 84 in East Hartford while impaired and causing a three-vehicle crash on Wednesday night. Police also said he did not have a license and his vehicle was not registered or insured.

State police say they responded Wednesday around 9 p.m. to a report of a wrong-way driver and a crash on I-84 west near Exit 56.

Non-life threatening injuries were reported in a wrong-way crash on Wednesday on I-84 in East Hartford, according to state police. The incident happened at 9 p.m. in the area of exit 56. Police confirmed that they are looking for someone who fled the scene.
