EXCLUSIVE: After sweeping the Oscars with his smash hit Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan looks to be returning to the studio that helped him win those Oscars, and he’s bringing along one of his A-list stars to lead the ensemble.

Nolan’s next project has reportedly been dated for July 17, 2026, with fellow Oscar winner Matt Damon in talks to star and reunite with the director for a third time, per Deadline’s Justin Kroll. As is typical with Nolan films, this next project will reportedly feature an IMAX release, per Deadline.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, inseparable best friends and collaborators, will work on another new Netflix project: the crime thriller RIP. Details are limited, but filming is reportedly underway, with Damon and Affleck cast in the lead roles.
