The Memphis Botanic Garden is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to being an exemplary center for horticulture and environmental enrichment. Serving over 40,000 school-aged children annually, and hosting over 260,000 visitors each year, Memphis Botanic Garden strives to enhance lives by connecting people with nature, increasing awareness and appreciation of our environment. The 96-acre property includes 30 specialty gardens and a Level 4 Arboretum, which provide the ability to interact with various families of plants, flowers, and trees.

We had a really nice time. The grounds are well kept and organized. There are multiple places to sit and meditate. I left much more relaxed than when I entered. Full review by LeBonNomad

Is the Memphis Botanic Garden dog-friendly? I know it is on the special dog event days but wondering about normal times.

Sorry, not sure if it is dog friendly. We didn't see any dogs on our visit. You should check with the management.

I would allow at least an hour, nice path. But you could take your time, have lunch in their really nice restaurant , relax in the Japanese garden, no need to rush.You could stretch it out …

Based on the two responses above, I'd say you can bring food and drinks to amphitheater shows. I haven't attended one yet. But last Christmas we went to see the holiday lights, and you could roast hot dogs over an open fire with the wind chill at about 10 degrees. Ha. .

Yes you should be able to see most of the plants. The garden is massive, we didn't see it all as it got far too hot for us. We made it through 70%. Parking is on site and make sure to bring …
